Wave Gen

Developed sustainable generator to convert ocean waves into electricity with team of cooper students November 08. Design involved foam filled fiber glass buoy that pulls a large and powerful n54 neodymium magnet thru coils in the generator that is enclosed in a series of PVC tubes held at the ocean floor by a concrete base. This generator had eight coils in tandem which were rectified and placed in parallel. Major contributions involved generator design and coil winding using a quickly rigged coil winder to wind over fifty miles of 32 gauge wire!
